Anthurium veitchii

Deep ribbing runs the length of every leaf on Anthurium veitchii, the King Anthurium, a corrugation pattern so pronounced it's the species' main identification feature at a glance. Grown as an epiphyte, mature plants under high humidity produce heavily corrugated, pendulous leaves that can exceed a metre in length — a scale that's earned the plant its common name. UK sold prices have fallen over the past three months even as larger, more mature specimens continue to command a premium, and 'King' and variegated forms are traded as separate lines from the straight species.
