Syngonium wendlandii

Syngonium wendlandii is a velvet-textured climbing aroid native to the shaded understories of Costa Rica and Central America. It is valued by collectors for its deeply dark green, velvety foliage, accented by a bright silver-white midrib. In its natural habitat it uses adventitious roots to ascend trees, growing in moist, organic-rich forest floors with high humidity and stable tropical temperatures. Its distinct morphology and climbing habit make it a notable species within Syngonium collections.
