The Epipremnum aureum 'N'Joy' is a cultivar derived from the common Pothos, known for its crisp white variegation. It was originally selected for its stable, sectorial patterns, and maintains a compact, vining growth habit suited to indoor cultivation. In its native habitat of the Society Islands, it grows as a hemiepiphyte, climbing tropical tree trunks in filtered light. Its small, glossy, ovate-cordate leaves show a sharp contrast between deep green and bright white, often with variegation concentrated along the margins.

Loss of yellow variegation
Cause: Extended periods in very low light conditions
Fix: Move the plant to a brighter position with indirect light to encourage new variegated growth
Yellowing lower leaves
Cause: Overwatering or prolonged drought, often combined with poor drainage
Fix: Check the soil moisture and adjust watering frequency accordingly, ensuring the pot does not sit in water
Leggy growth with long internodes
Cause: Insufficient light causing the plant to stretch
Fix: Prune back the long vines to encourage branching and move to a location with better ambient light
