Anthurium warocqueanum 'Aurea' is a pigment-deficient colour form of the Queen Anthurium, in which new leaves emerge a soft chartreuse-gold rather than the species' usual near-black green. The elongated, velvet-textured blade and bold silvery-white venation remain true to the species, but the golden cast gives the plant a different appearance as it matures and slowly deepens toward green with age. The aurea trait is unstable and easily lost through tissue culture.
Cultivated colour-form selection of the species native to Colombia.

Fungal spotting on the thin leaf surface
Cause: Stagnant, still humid air rather than humidity with movement
Fix: Add gentle airflow (a small fan on low) alongside high humidity, not instead of it
Root rot
Cause: Substrate that stays wet, often from a mix that's too dense or a pot with poor drainage
Fix: Repot into a chunkier mix immediately, trim away any mushy roots, and let the plant recover in a smaller pot before sizing up again
Torn or stressed leaf edges
Cause: Physical damage in transit or handling — the leaves are thinner and more fragile than most large anthuriums
Fix: Handle and transport with extra care; damaged tissue on this species doesn't recover, it just sits there until the leaf is replaced
