About Anthurium 'Cauca Queen'
Anthurium 'Cauca Queen' combines the rounded, near-peltate blade and silvery-green venation of Anthurium forgetii with the strongly rugose, corrugated surface of Anthurium rugulosum. The result is a rounder-leaved sibling to 'Canal Queen', showing more visible silvery venation running through a pronounced rugose texture rather than the darker, more monochromatic finish papillilaminum crosses tend to produce. It keeps forgetii's characteristically reduced sinus, giving the leaf an almost shield-like outline.
Native range
Horticultural hybrid bred by Jay Vannini, combining Anthurium forgetii 'Silver' with Anthurium rugulosum; named for Colombia's Cauca river valley.

Before you buy
- Compare the leaf outline against sibling cross 'Canal Queen'; Cauca Queen should show a rounder, near-peltate leaf with visible silvery-green venation, not the narrower, near-black form of its sibling
- Check the reduced sinus typical of the forgetii parent is visible in listing photos, giving the leaf its shield-like outline
- Confirm venation is genuinely visible through the rugose texture rather than fully obscured; a leaf with no visible silvery veining may point to a different rugulosum cross
- Given the 80-90% humidity requirement and Advanced difficulty, confirm your setup can sustain that before buying at the £££ tier
