Monstera adansonii 'Frozen Freckles' is a variegated selection of the popular Swiss Cheese Vine, bred by KMN Beheer B.V. in the Netherlands and granted EU plant breeders' rights in March 2024. That is an unusual instance of formal legal protection in a hobby where most colour breaks spread informally through cuttings with no registered owner. Rather than the bold white sectors of an Albo form, Frozen Freckles carries an irregular scatter of creamy white and pale-yellow speckling and marbling across the same narrow, deeply fenestrated leaves that make adansonii a collector favourite. It has moved quickly through UK and European retailers since registration. As with most new cultivars, expect the price to ease once wider tissue-culture supply catches up.
Bred and granted EU plant breeders' rights by KMN Beheer B.V., Netherlands (registered March 2024); a variegated selection of Monstera adansonii var. laniata.

New leaves emerging fully green
Cause: Reversion, usually from insufficient light or feeding a plant that's over-invested in green tissue
Fix: Move to brighter indirect light and prune back to the last strongly variegated node to redirect growth
Little to no fenestration on new leaves
Cause: Juvenile growth or insufficient light
Fix: Increase light and allow the plant to mature; fenestration develops with age and a support to climb
Slow or stalled growth
Cause: Low light or cold temperatures, which the high-white sectors tolerate worse than plain-green forms
Fix: Keep above 18°C and provide bright, indirect light year-round
