Monstera adansonii 'Aurea' is a golden-variegated sport of the Swiss Cheese Vine, in which the characteristic fenestrated leaves are marked with irregular patches of buttery yellow rather than the usual white. The chimeric variegation ranges from fine speckling to bold half-moon sectors depending on the leaf, and the natural perforations still punch through both the green and yellow tissue. It retains the same vigorous, fast-climbing or trailing habit as the standard species, suited to a hanging basket or totem.
Cultivated golden-variegated sport of the species native to Central and South America.

Yellow leaves
Cause: Overwatering or nutrient deficiency
Fix: Check soil moisture before watering; begin a regular fertilising routine in growing season
Brown patches on leaves
Cause: Sunburn or cold water on leaves
Fix: Avoid direct sun; water at the base and ensure water is room temperature
