Rhaphidophora tetrasperma

Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is a compact climbing aroid native to the humid tropical forests of Southern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia, where it ascends tree trunks and natural supports from the shaded understory to the lower canopy. Its glossy leaves are split along both sides nearly to the midrib into several segments of unequal width, usually without enclosed holes, a pattern that superficially resembles a miniature Monstera deliciosa and earns it the trade name 'Mini Monstera'. In cultivation it climbs enthusiastically with short internodes and visible aerial roots, making it an ideal specimen for moss poles in indoor collections.
