The variegated form of 'Burle Marx Flame' combines the deeply fenestrated, flame-shaped leaf with irregular cream-white chimeric sectors, a combination that has made it one of the more sought-after Monstera cultivars in current collector circles. As with other chimeric variegations, the white sectors carry no chlorophyll, so growth is slower and expression varies cutting to cutting depending on where a given node sits relative to the variegated tissue. It retains the same narrow, deeply lobed 'flame' silhouette and climbing habit as the plain green cultivar it sported from.
Chimeric sport mutation of the standard green Monstera 'Burle Marx Flame' cultivar.
