About Alocasia clypeolata
Alocasia clypeolata, commonly called Green Shield for its rounded, shield-like leaf shape, is a Malaysian species with silvery-green, metallic-sheened foliage and prominent dark venation. Its compact rosette habit and eye-catching leaf sheen have made it a popular addition among jewel Alocasia collectors, occupying a similar niche to Alocasia baginda but with its own distinct rounder leaf shape and vein pattern.
